We brought Douglas on board at Salesforce to help with a lot of urgent, high-priority projects to benefit our sales business groups: first he tackled an issue for our compensation team helping to reconcile orders against sales teams and territories, and then moved on to building great applications that helped to automate our fiscal year deployment in our HR systems and into our internal Salesforce.com application. During this time, I saw:

- When given clear requirements and a target outcome, Douglas is able to compose access-intense solutions that are elegant and easy (one click!) for the business user to understand
- Incredible expertise in Microsoft Access, VBA, and Excel
- Ability to cascade multiple decision trees and multiple sets of criteria to produce all kinds of what-if or if-then data outputs
During his time at Salesforce, Douglas quickly developed familiarity with our internal tools, including SOQL, the Dataloader, and Workbench. He went above and beyond in responding to feedback on the applications he built for our team and in supporting our HR department at the turn of the fiscal year. Great work, Douglas!
Working with Douglas was a pleasure and yielded fantastic results. He demonstrates a relentless effort to produce top quality tools to drive meaningful efficiency gains. Douglas displayed exceptional technical expertise which resulted in an automation reporting database. He demonstrated a strong ability to GAJE (Gather, Analyze, Judge and Execute). He was able to deliver a quality program in 3/4 of the time estimated by other programmers. He engaged the business to seek new ideas and approaches then determined whether he could automate those functions. He created a user manual for reference and educated staff on how to read and translate SQL and VBA code in the event we wanted to enhance the database in the future. He has also made himself available if I ever have questions. If I ever need another programmer Douglas is first on my list to contact!
